The 13th annual showcase of works by African-American filmmakers features screenings and director discussions.
Chicago landmarks and talent highlight a handful of the films, including Adedapo Akisanya's phone psychic scam story "E.S.P." (Aug. 5 and 7), Steven Ayromlooi's romantic comedy "Love... & Other 4 Letter Words" (Aug. 11 and 15) and Roxxy Cooley's coming-of-age drama "Fassytails" (Aug. 12 and 14).
Aug. 3: Local reporter (and former Metromix TV host) LeeAnn Trotter hosts the opening night program. Includes a reception, refreshments and screening of short films.
