Presidential Hopeful Senator Clinton’s Campaign wins backing from Black and Trans activists.

Democratic Presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton released a newer list of well-known LGBT supporters today.

In a list released Clinton’s campaign identified 21 gay professionals and activists who recently endorsed her White House run.

Clinton’s campaign last released a sampling of gay supporters in April. That list of 26 names included tennis legend and hero Billie Jean King.

Names on the list include H. Alexander Robinson, executive director of the National Black Justice Coalition; Dana Beyer, who is transgender and a member of the Human Rights Campaign board of governors; and Rep. Patricia Todd, the first openly gay member of the Alabama House of Representatives.

Clinton told the Washington Blade “I am honored to have the support of these leaders in the LGBT community,” Clinton said. “Together, we can end the divisive politics of the current administration and renew the promise of fairness and equality for all Americans.”

• Jo Hoenninger, a former Servicemembers Legal Defense Network co-chair

• Ray Holm, Human Rights Campaign board of governors

• Leslie Katz, a former San Francisco Democratic Party chair

• Peter Pappas, Human Rights Campaign board of governors

• Dana Perlman, Human Rights Campaign board of directors

• Craig Roberts, Stonewall Democrats national board

Obviously, Clinton is targeting these groups that other candidates are not showing strong support in.  Since Senator Obama had the gay bigoted Donnie McClurkin association his popularity with the LGBT community has gone down.   Obama, from Illinois, organized and held a South Carolina event with newly saved and homophobic gospel singer Donnie McClurkin.  After talks with the HRC (Human Rights Campaign), the Obama campaign decided to add Rev. Andy Sidden, a white gay minister to their tour for the event in South Carolina.  That could be interpreted as a slap in the face for us Black Gay people, but it is what it is.
