I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard.

Only a few months ago, the Kennedy Center Awards were honoring Ms. Diana Ross. For a moment, it appeared that all was great for the diva. All had been forgiven. No longer was there bad blood between superstar and fans. Coming from a humble beginning to becoming one of the worlds greatest performers, like her or not, she will forever by a legend.

Unfortunately, with this status comes the rumors, half truths and lies. The diva and company arrived in Jamaica West Indies to perform at the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. Upon her arrival, the organizers were informed that they did not have permission to use the mega-screens during the concert, as if this happened, she would walk off of the stage. Of course, this was a shock since mega-screen monitors are commonly used now, especially when an recording artist is performing in a huge arena or stadium. It was said that tickets cost up to $300.00. As you know, Jamaica is a poor country and I would imagine that for some who worked hard to save up for this event, this was a dream come true or was it a nightmare?

The 63 year old diva, it was said did a "Milli Vanilli". According to a few sources, Ms. Ross forgot the lyrics to "All That Feeling Matters" from her current CD, "I Love You." Now depending on who you ask, some say that this did not happen, while others mention that she stepped out of the spot light as to not show that she was lip-syncing. It's also rumored that the star was paid $300,000.00, others sources have said $21 million to perform.

Now I, a die-hard fan, have seen Ms. Ross more than a few times, and have never seen her lip-sync. Before she would do that, she will ask the audience to sing along with her or she will just cut the song from the show. I would imagine with the library of song that Ms. Ross has, it's normal to forget a lyric or two.

On TMZ's, a celebrity gossip television show, I took a visit to their website which had footage of some 4400 people booing the former Supreme. Now was it just a few people who couldn't see the star from row triple Z? Who knows? I wasn't there, were you?

I have a feeling that whatever Ms. Ross does it will always cause controversy. It's rumored that when Ms. Ross was ill, that she had, daughter, Tracee spy on the staff and report back if they misbehaved. It's also been said that the staff are not allowed to look Ms. Ross in the face. I'm told that even when she is present, she will speak to her assistant, who will then turn to a staff member and repeat what Ms. Ross has said. Again, is this true? I don't know.

I would imagine that maybe, Barbara Walters, will again, interview the booed star, to get her side of the story. Or maybe she will just pretend that it didn't happen. As I borrow a line from one of her current songs, "I love you for who you are, and that's all that really matters." There will never be another Diana Ross. She will forever be legendary.
