Film review: Eye Was Blind
The Award Winning, "Eye Was Blind", independent film has won for the Best Feature Film Drama Award and was recognized in Los Angeles and New York City to sold performances. It gives you a chance to look into the private lives of everyday families and what they may be experiencing.

Betrayal. Murder. Skin color. Interracial relationships. Self hatred. Religion. The film questions, "What can a dark skin man do for you in America?" It also questions, "Is my family dysfunctional?"
We live in a society where many times, we are selected based on how light or how dark skinned we are. Some of our black sisters are taught to view long straight hair as good hair and our short kinky hair as bad. Our music videos show, again, light skinned sisters with the European styled-hair. Our successful brothers, many times, will divorce the first wife, black, and remarry the light or white sister, again, reinforcing that light is good and dark is black. Even our stock market and wars, to show despair, will call the situation "Black".
"Eye Was Blind" allows you to step into this one family and see how society has reinforced its emotional hatred. It's hard to believe that this film was shot in 8 days. This is a must-see, especially to our youth, for they're our future.
