In Philadelphia twins, Taleon and Keyontyli Goffney, were arrested on February 21st, for stealing $2,000 from an ATM in the Moon's beauty shop at 9th and Washington Streets.

According to Philadelphia's CBS3 (video see below), detectives said the siblings "broke into the store by crashing through the roof" and allegedly stole about $2,000 from the machine. The Philadelphia Police arrested Keyontyli at the scene, but, his brother Taleon escaped and was found in a nearby parking garage a time later.

Police say the terrible twosome, are suspects in as many as 50 similar burglaries in the tri-state area (Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware).

According to NBC News the store owner Young Moon gave this statement "Just over there, they made the hole right here, he took money from the register, and change, too. He left only pennies," Moon said. Authorities said once they robbed Moon's store, the twins went back through the roof to the Wings and More Store next door. The twins stole money from a register, and an ATM machine.

While the pair was robbing the store, an alarm went off. Police were nearby and caught the twins. Store manager Byung Choi came to find a swarm of police officers in front of his store.

"Sad, surprised, really angry," Choi said. Ki Moon said she couldn't help but cry after the burglary because it's been a tough year and a half for her family. The Moon's 21-year-old son, Jae, died fighting in Iraq on Christmas Day 2006 and Young Moon had a heart transplant six months ago.

They were glad police caught the burglars but they have questions. "Why?" Ki Moon said. "This is not right. This is not right."The storeowners said they each lost thousands of dollars in the break-ins.

It turns out Taleon Goffney's bail has been revoked because he pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and criminal mischief for escaping from a moving police cruiser after breaking a window with his head. He had been arrested on drug and weapons charges.

Prosecutors in South Jersey and Philadelphia will file a list of charges against Taleon.

Keyontyli is a mainstream model in at least one national underwear campaign and is featured in the latest CLIK. Also Keyontyli has his own model website and myspace page.

"We've met the twins once or twice and they seemed like really nice guys. Didn't have any idea they were troubled. Too bad. Keyon made his start into porn with us back in 2002," says Phillip Bleicher at Flavaworks. "He was one of the sweetest models we had ever worked with. We last saw him at New York City Pride in June 2007 and he again was friendly and caring. It's too sad."

The twins have owned the stage names Keyon and Teyon at popular black gay porn sites such as Blackmen.net, EbonyD and Flavaworks.

Commentary

I have looked into this matter. It seems sad to me. I hope the society at large sees that there are a lot of gay black men that are doing good things for society. These two are in some deep dooky. Last night I have been trying to contact any of their friends to see if I can get a statement or find out more information but nobody has come forward. I hope they can find a way to keep their heads up. It's so depressing seeing black gay men in my generation hurting themselves by doing foolish things. The movies that these two were involved in, is not the foolishness I'm talking about. The foolishness is stealing money when you know you can earn it honestly. Whether it is pornography or sweeping up floors it is still honest. On top of that they stole from someone who is just as needy as they are. So by stealing thousands of dollars from these people they've ruined their own lives and the people they stole from. Way to represent twins. I guess now they will get a chance to play out a real jail scene, without the pay. I wouldn't drop the soap if I were either one of them.
