I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. ![]() |
Major Kimbrell graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1998. Then she completed intense pilot training and got her wings, in 1999.
When being interviewed, Major Kimbrell continued, "I fell in love with the idea of the freedom of flying and after my first lesson at age, 14, I never looked back."
This wonderful young mother is a role model not just for people of color and women, but for the human race.
Job well done Major Kimbrell, well done.

Let's welcome our first black female fighter in the United States Air Force, Major Shawna Kimbrell, who told "blackmilitaryworld.com that, "There are still a lot of unresolved racial issues in the United States and they spill over into every walk of life and every workspace. I am still amazed that in this day and agre there is still so much room for firsts especially for females and for African-Americans."
