I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. The rumors are true as Star Jones confirmed on Entertainment Tonight, that she and her soon to be ex-husband have decided to part ways.
Very early in the relationship between Star and Al Reynolds rumors were flying that Al is gay. Now is he? I don't know but if this is the case, she wont be the first to discover that she and her male partner were interested in the same sex. Rumors that this marriage was a fake marriage continue to circle. Plus Star got fired from Court TV, of which she was brilliant, but had no viewers.

Perhaps this situation would not have happened, if our black community would get over this down low bullshit. And a message to my black brothers, if you are gay, you are gay, embrace who you are and stop marrying our black sisters, only to discover that you want to come out of the closet. This situation can not be comfortable to our sisters who are left alone, wondering if she was the one who turned the husband, the boyfriend, gay.
You can not turn someone gay. It's like turning a dog into a cat, its just not possible.
Star mentioned that the papers were filed over a month ago. My message to Star is to keep your head held high. If your soon to be ex husband is gay, you didn't do it, he did it to himself by not being honest and true to himself.
Brothers on the down low STOP screwing up the minds of our sisters. Imagine if your sister's husband decided to reveal that he's gay, how would you feel, watching your sister, your daughter, your mother go through this emotional hell.
Being gay doesn't make you less of a man. And to Ms. Star Jones, you are an original, there's no one like you, continue to shine.
