I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. "I'm late all the time. I have no perception of time. (laughs) Time is for white people. It doesn't work with me." per Black Voices
Again, we have someone who's in the public eye who decides that she wants to be profound by making a stupid comment.

Ms. Badu does not have respect for anyone else's time and has decided to make it a race thing. Erykah appeared to be full of wisdom, smart and bright on her first CD, which was just a marketing lie. Once her career took off, we discovered that the hair, dreads, was a wig, also discovered that it was the mystery and her blackness that pulled us in but once we took a closer look, it was just another marketing tool to get her noticed. And now, with a her middle of the road singing career, she has decided to make herself look less intelligent. I'm pretty sure that they're people of color who find her habit of lateness annoying and not cute.
From where I'm sitting she will never recorded anything as wonderful as her first CD of which she received a Grammy and was respected as a neo-soul singer and songwriter, a time when we didn't know much about her.
Give me Jill Scott any day, now this is a sister who thinks before she speaks.
