I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard.

Born in Orlando, Florida but raised in New York City's, by way of the South Bronx, Wesley Snipes has been sentenced to 3 years in jail for failing to file tax returns. It's believed that the prosecutors wanted to make the actor an example since they're more than a few entertainers who chose to not pay taxes. I hope that Dionne and Aretha are taking notes that this could happen to them. No one is above the law.

On top of that, Wesley Snipes must pay a fine of 5 million dollars. It was said that Woody Harrison, Denzel Washington and a few of Wesley's Hollywood friends sent letters to the courts, attesting his good character. At a last attempt to beat the system, Wesley offered the courts three checks totaling $5 million towards the $3.17 million owed, however, he made about $13.8 million for the years in question.

Mr. Snipes will remain free until notified when he should surrender. It's hard to feel sorry for someone who has the money and just doesn't want to pay.
