I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard.

I couldn't believe my eyes, there was Televangelist Juanita Bynum on Divorce Court. It's old news that she and her soon to be ex-husband, of which each one claims domestic violence. Now Ms. Bynum feels that she can be the face to this horrible situation. In this two part episode, Ms. Bynum sat in the judge's chambers as she listened to a woman tell the judge the hell that she had gone through. When Ms. Bynum was asked her opinion, she answered, " I had to make a decision, to take the love that I had for him with me." How profound but was it real?

According to Minister Thomas W. Weeks III, who's on probation, he claims that he was the one who was assaulted. Many times I've seen women hit their husband's and/or boyfriend's, as I've told the women in my family to talk and never to use a hand in expressing themselves to their mates, not even in playing.
To be honest with you, they're a lot of men who experience domestic violence, as the wife sometimes is the one who's doing the beating, but the husband is too ashamed to tell anyone.
The judge, Lynn Toler, explained that she doesn't handle this kind of divorce case, as it's something that can't be handled in a half hour show. And I agree with Judge Toler, who's an extremely smart, proud and wise black sister.
Back to Ms. Bynum and Mr. Weeks III, personally I felt that the money spent on their million dollar wedding, should have been invested in feeding the hungry, finding or building homes for the homeless and taking care of the sick. To me the focus was no longer on God but on themselves.
Ms. Bynum mentioned that she was concerned about her legacy. Her legacy? This doesn't sound like someone who's humble to me. Yes, I totally agree, once he or she decided to hit, it was time to quit. Ms. Bynum also said that she doesn't like to end relationships. At no time did she say that she prayed for God's guidance. Perhaps its just me, but something is wrong here. And I have a feeling that both, Mr. Weeks and Ms. Bynum are guilty.
Now to continue to build her, (Ms. Bynum) self imposed "face of domestic violence", she has decided to appear on "Divorce Court", something ain't right.
