Is That You, R. Kelly?

CHILD? Part of "Webster's" definition is "recently born person", "a female infant." Pornography? partly defined: the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) that cause sexual excitement; the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction. RAPE: 1. An act or instance of robbing or despoiling or carrying away a person by force. 2.a. sexual intercourse with a woman by a man without her consent and chiefly by force or deception - compare STATUTORY RAPE. b. unlawful sexual intercourse by force or threat. 3. Outrageous violation.

Five years later and the court system is still trying to prove that R. Kelly is g-u-i-l-t-y guilty of rape. And he's still fighting against the system to prove his innocence. Why has it taken so long to come to a decision on the fate of this R&B singer? According to the Chicago Sun Times, there's a young lady who claims that she was 13 or 14 years old when R. Kelly video taped a 3 some with, she, another girl and R. Kelly himself. Perhaps the delay is because he's in his hometown. On June 6, 2002, Mr. Kelly was indicted on 21 counts of having sex with minors, of which was reduced to 14. As to date he's sold over 24 million copies of his music worldwide and written songs like "Bump N Grind", Michael Jackson's beautiful song, "You Are Not Alone", to his signature song, "I Believe I Can Fly", however I don't believe that these young ladies are lying.

The video was available in records stores around the country. Mr. Kelly said that it's not him, but it was recorded at his house, and if it's not him, he must have a twin brother, because I saw the video, and there was no mistaking, especially when he looked into the camera. R. Kelly has been quoted, "Osama bin Laden is the only one who knows exactly what I'm going through." Well Mr. Laden is guilty so perhaps he's right in comparing himself to one of the world's most hated man.

Robert Sylvester Kelly aka R. Kelly was born on January 5, 1967 and raised on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. He is currently separated from his wife of about 11 years, and has three children, 2 girls and 1 boy. There's been a petition for an emergency restraining order because of allege abuse from his wife. Back in the day, if was rumored that one of his early relationships with a under aged girl was the lovely departed Aaliyah.

As gifted and blessed as Mr. Kelly is, there appears to be something mentally wrong with this brother. He has everything, what many dream of, such as Grammy's, a big house, cars, money, fame and loving wife and children. And yet, it's alleged that he has this need to have sex with under-aged girls. What amazes me is that his fan base as increased. I've spoken to a few women who felt that the "alleged girls" that R. Kelly allegedly had sex with were probably "fast" anyway.

This, of course, putting the blame on the 14 year old girls and not this grown ass man. And when I asked, "What about if it was your little girl, your daughter?" The sister's replied with, "Well." Meaning that there's was no reply. They didn't care. And the brothers don't care. What's wrong with this picture? I've seen Mr. Kelly on award shows where he's thanked his fans, claiming that what was being said about him was not true, is a lie. It's also been said that its known in the industry that he likes under aged girls and has been known to point out young girls at concerts and have his "people" bring them back to his dressing room after the concert was over. And strangely, no one really knew about the wife and kids till recently.

If R. Kelly is convicted of the allegations against him he could do up to 15 years. Or if cleared, perhaps he will do the famous re-hab, the cure for everything in show business. You read it here first at GBMNews.com
