Comments like "spiritual confusion", "anti-christ", "new age", "Hollywood style Christians", "distorting the true gospel", "trendy idea religion" "television talk show host denies Jesus Christ", "The church of Oprah", and "conduit of evil."

It's amazes me that we as a black community will give with one hand and take back with the other. Perhaps this was reinforced after slavery but if my memory serves me right, this happened even before and this is one of the reasons why we were and continue, at times, to be easily mislead. I can't believe that I'm defending Ms. Oprah, as I'm not a huge fan. Her show is to the empowerment of women, which is not a bad thing but I'm astonished by the many gay men who follow the television diva as well.

Early in her media career it was believed that she was not male friendly. Perhaps after receiving her super stardom and finding love with Stedman and having her best friend, Gail, she's no longer beating down the brothers, and this is a good thing. She has grown as she continues her life's journey.

Now we have the church folks claiming that Ms. Oprah states that there's more than one way to come to God. And you know what, I agree with her. She's not telling anyone not to believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She's basically saying that God is so much bigger than what mankind can imagine. Think about the civilizations before Christ or the parts of the world that have not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. Am I to believe that the people of that time or the people in far parts of the world that have never heard of my Lord and Savior, Jesus are going to hell? Am I to believe that my Jewish brothers and sisters or my Muslim brothers and sisters or other people of other faiths are going to hell because they do not worship the same way that I do?

Doesn't my bible tell me to "judge not, otherwise I will be judge?" I'm not quoting King James bible, but if you know the word, you know the message.

Now all over the web that's a video claiming that Oprah is denying Christ. And if you really listen that's not what she's saying. The video also claims that this is a new age philosophy. Wasn't it not long ago when it was believed that black people, people of color, were not human? Perhaps there's truth in many being mislead, but holier than person wants you to believe that Oprah is evil. That Oprah because of her millions has created her own religion.

Now God's time is different than our time, we don't know what happens when one passes from this world into the next. I would like to believe as the most of us who have faith in our Lord and Savior, those who's faith is bigger than that of a mustard seed, that we believe is true. Am I to believe that there's just one kind of heaven? I would think not, since "in my father's house, there are many mansions there."

If Ms. Oprah is wrong, please pray for her. Is she misleading her fans, I don't think so. She's not telling them that her way is the only way. She's just stating that her belief in that many roads lead to God.

The best way to perhaps change her way of thinking is to show her unconditional love and to keep her in your prayers. We all fall short, and it is by God's grace that our sins, our shortcomings are forgotten.
