I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. In the music industry, everything is timing. If you had a chance to see the Diva on "Fashion Rocks, you know that she sang, "At Last", the Etta James classic and she also sang with Justin Timberlake, the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell classic, "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing." Her yet to be titled, third CD is expected to be released in November, just in time for the holidays and the release of the Chess Music history movie around this time also, which she will play the legendary diva, Ms. Etta James. Yes, everything is timing.
| It appears that everyone is going back to the 60's style music, as many of the artist are tapping into that moment in time, I have a feeling that her new CD will also follow this format. And why not? It's a wonderful time in history, where we had the Motown sound, also the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Sly and Family Stone and many others who gave the 1960's a wonderful feast of music. Each different, each unique, there's a lot of material to pick from.
It will be wonderful if she will have special featured guest such as Diana Ross, Aretha, Martha Reeves, Ashford & Simpson or even Rock Queen, Ms. Tina Turner to play with on this next project. I have a feeling that it will be a mature, throwback, feel good CD that may reintroduce some of the classic songs to our younger generation. I can't wait! You read it here at GBMNews.com |
