I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard.

I've read articles where the triple talented entertainer, Wayne Brady, has made comments, indicating that many see him as "Not black enough." I totally understand where the brother is coming from and yes, I've been guilty of viewing Mr. Brady in that same light as many others, when it comes to his blackness.

The first time I become aware of Wayne was when he was one of the featured players on the Improvisational television show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?" In 2003, he has received a "Primetime Emmy Award" Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety, Musical or Comedy Series, for his outstanding work on his show, "The Wayne Brady Show." After his shows cancellation, Wayne appeared in the Broadway play, Chicago and other varies television shows.

In 2006, Wayne appeared on the hit series, "How I Met Your Mother", where he played the gay brother of Neil Patrick Harris's character.

If you haven't seen this show and this episode rent it or buy it, it's an extremely funny show.

On the Dave Chappelle's show, Wayne appeared after comic Paul Mooney joked about Wayne not being black enough, claiming that Wayne made Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X. It's said that Dave felt bad about this joke and invited Wayne on.

Again Wayne was able to make fun of himself by playing an over the top man who reveals his true blackness. It's a funny episode, perhaps to show Dave's black audience that he's one of them even if he doesn't act "black", whatever that means.

As for marriage, Wayne and his wife, who happened to be white are now divorced. And Wayne is still pressing on with his career. It's finally here, his long awaited CD entitled, "Wayne Brady: A Long Time Coming." This CD is a classic R&B sound, influenced by Stevie Wonder and the belated Sam Cooke, of which, Wayne's cover's Mr. Cooke's, "A Change Is Gonna Come." If you are a fan of Wayne Brady, you know that he loves to sing.

Hopefully, this new project, will allow him to be seen in a different light.
