The 2008 Fall season for "The Adventures of the Old New Christine" sitcom starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, co-starring Wanda Sykes opens with Wanda's character, Barb" being newly divorced and in fear that she may be deported since she is no longer married to an American Citizen.

Christine's brother offers to marry Wanda's character, but she declines. So Christine offers to marry her best friend, Barb. Christine's character list the reasons why she and Barb (Wanda's character) should get married.

So you guessed it, Christine and Barb get married. Mind you, both, characters are suppose to be straight and the only reason for the marriage is to allow Barb permission to stay in the good old U.S. of A. If you are a fan of the show, you already know that last season Barb and Christine's brother slept together. So now his sister-in-law is also a former booty-buddy.

Since the wedding of Ellen and Portia, now Clay Aiken coming out of the closet, times are changing. I'm sure that our Republican "friends" are totally upset by the movement of our country, where you are allowed to love who you love.

It will be interesting to see how "The Old New Adventures of Christine" plays this situation out. It's wonderful to see that the character of "Barb" is building, as Wanda Sykes is a very funny lady.

If you haven't seen the show and in the mood to laugh, check it out.
