I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. Wow, GlynnTruman has been in the game for along time, as I remember him from a 60's series called, Peyton Place. Originally, it was a movie that starred actress Lana Turner, then it was made into a television series which featured a young, Ryan O' Neal, Mia Farrow, Barbara Parkins who later did "Valley of the Dolls", Lee Grant who became a director, the late Ruth Warrick who later was on Soap Opera- "All My Children", Ms. Rudy Dee and Ms. Judy Pace, who I believe played Glynn's girlfriend.
It was definitely one of the many first in television land, where you saw Africian American people living and experiencing normal lives. I remember that I would pretend that I was asleep, but could see the television from my bedroom. Peyton Place was like Dynasty, full of adult drama. In later years, Glynn appeared in varies movies but I'm sure a lot of people remember him from the series, "Different World." He was also married to the Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin. It's hard to believe that the veteran actor is 62 years old. He was given an Emmy for being, "Outstanding Guest Actor" in a Drama Series. The series is "In Treatment." I'm extremely happy for him, and I wish I had watched the Emmy's this year, so I could have witness this win, but I decided to watch the new HBO series, "True Blood." Oh well.
