I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. When it comes to show business you never know what's real and what's fantasy. Brandy's finally opening up to what the truth is. As you may recall the "diva in training" lied about her marriage then there was the car accident and the younger brother who turned porn star.
| Brandy opened up to US Weekly, she wanted to come forth with the truth, wanted to set the record straight. First Ms. Brandy lied about the marriage to Robert Smith, record producer. And when that relationship ended, it was Robert who told the media that the marriage had not taken place, that it was all a lie.
It's only now that Brandy has said, "I lied because of the fear of what people would think and the pressure to be a good role model". end quote. It just makes you wonder how self important our "divas in training" may find themselves. The real role models should be the parents, and not the favorite entertainer of the day.
| Brandy, now 29, has a CD about to drop, as the industry folk like to say. And now she has decided to speak about the prior drama of her past. | |
| The CD is titled, "Human" and is scheduled to be released just in time for the holidays. Brandy states that she and her baby daddy, Robert Smith were really in love etc., that the only thing that was a lie was the marriage.
However, it was only a few months before her and Robert's daughter's was born that she or whoever her R.P. folks all thought that it would be a good idea to release that she and Robert had secretly married. But of course, when the relationship ended, Robert thought that he would come clean and tell the truth.
| Now Brandy Norwood has learned from this experience, maybe, and wants to finally keep it real. It can't be easy for child stars, especially when to comes to being an adult and experiencing adult situations. Personally, I don't think that Brandy's fan base would have passed judgment if she had been honest originally. | |
| Now the diva who's in the same age range as Beyonce and Monica will reinvent herself as a shaker and maker, as an experience, worldly mature woman. Hopefully her audience is still there. Many times when the entertainer takes a leave of absence, the return is not what is expected.
As she releases her new CD, Brandy sent this release to her fans, "I think this is my year because I've decided that I'm going to go with the flow in my life. The purpose of my life is music. It's my responsibility to give the fans something they've been waiting for, something they deserve."
|
| |
| Will it be something that we deserve? Has she come into her own? Everyone loves a good come back, and this could be her moment. After all, she's a child star and until the prior events she was a good girl. (Not a honest girl, but good.) Perhaps her release may be different than her prior recordings, and that will be refreshing. If nothing else, it appears that Brandy is finally keeping it real.
