It is no secret that trends come…then go, only to be reborn again. On many occasions we have seen designers be motivated by various periods of time… Although the years are gone, that most certainly doesn't mean that the looks are forgotten, and if you live long enough, you will see them time and time again.

For those of you who couldn't part with your huge rope chains, Gazelle glasses and cotton twill tuxedo pants, now is the time to dig in the back of those closets and bring them back out.

If you need to refresh some of your key 80's pieces don't worry… The twin dynamic duo Dean and Dan Caten of D-Squared already took care of it for you.

Sure, for most it shouldn't come as a complete surprise that this will be a big trend for Spring being that the "kids" have already began rocking the Run DMC-with-twist type garb.

D-squared however has decided to take a more polished approach to the look by adding tailored fitted blazers and vest with contrasting lapels to their collection. The collection is also sprinkled with trucker hats, bow ties, and argyle.

Going back even further in time, Martin Margiela has taken us back to the era of disco. Although the clothing house is known mostly for its avante garde pieces, this collection is quite wearable.

Martin's overall collection consisted of mostly black and sand colors, but it was the treatment of the garments which brought the garments to look like the Margiela we know and love… Laser cuts jackets with oversized draping lapels are true focal points of the collection, while squared mirrored leggings added a little futuristic rock and roll edge to the latest wears.

Even though I can appreciate the designer's creativity, I do believe that his accessories most definitely out shined this seasons clothing. We have seen a great many fashionistas wearing the 3-d like sunglasses around town, and it comes no surprise…They are Hott!!!

If colors are your thing for spring, Gucci has packed a number of pastels in this upcoming season's collection. Although the silhouettes are still very similar to what we have come to love from past designer Tom Ford, current designer Frida Giannini has definitely put her stamp on the line.

Shifting completely from the gypsy inspired fall collection, she has now prepared us for a tropical cruise. The infusion of bold stripes, floral prints, and a dash of rocker makes for a very fresh innovative look that will appeal to a number of age groups.

When looking at collections as a whole for a season often times you will see key trends that most lines may have in common i.e. slim legged trousers, the color grey in the fall, floral prints in the spring, etc.

However, Givenchy is just one of those rare lines that always keep us guessing at what they will do next. Just when we will be preparing for warmer temperatures to arrive the fashion forward line wows us with an unexpected fabric and color we normally tend to take a break from… black leather (light weight no doubt).

The goth like collection is splashed with hot pink suits with matching lace shirts to make interesting look.

As we swiftly approach the warmth of the Spring, I now find myself having to re-evaluate my opinions on which season I look forward to shopping for most.

Although I think that fall always finds its way to the top of most of our lists, now that menswear is becoming more innovative and exciting, I think that Spring will definitely be a close second.
