Antoine B. Craigwell
Antoine B. Craigwell as a journalist has written for several publications, including Fortune Small Business, the Villager Newspapers in Northeastern Connecticut, The Bronx Times Reporter and The Bronx Times, The New York Amsterdam News, The Network Journal, in New York City, is a senior correspondent for GBMNews.com, an online African-American magazine, a contributor to mainstreet.com, a Wall Street-based online financial magazine, and an online editor for In Life, the online magazine the Black Gay Men's Network, a publication of the National Black AIDS Institute.
Antoine has reported on town governments, education, and social life in Connecticut, and in the Bronx, where in 2008 he earned a first place award from the New York Association of Black Journalists. From the newspapers, Antoine transitioned to a monthly African-American regional small business and professional magazine as its assistant editor.
Antoine graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY) with a bachelor's in journalism and psychology. Prior to becoming a journalist, he was employed in several different career paths, with 10-plus years in office and facilities management. He has volunteered his time and efforts with God's Love We Deliver, with Literacy Partners as a tutor, and as a summer tutor, teaching journalism to high school students at Harlem Live.
Antoine is a member of the New York Association of Black Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, and the Baruch College Alumni Association. He is secretary with the Board of Directors for the Caribbean-American Repertory Theatre, and secretary with the Board of Directors of Queens Pride House. He was a keynote speaker addressing the "Business of the Church in the Community" for a clergy breakfast celebrating Black History Month in 2007, a guest speaker on "Recapturing the Male Image," for the 3rd Annual Men's Conference held at York College, CUNY, sponsored by the York College Male Initiative Program in September 2008, and a workshop presenter, "It's all in the questions: Coming up with great interview questions," 5th Annual NYC High School Journalism Conference, Baruch College, CUNY, NY, December 2008.
