I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. Rapper DXM is preparing to rap to a different tune when he gets out of the big house. During an interview with John Hooks from FOX 10, Earl Simmons aka DMX spoke from the County Jail named Maricopa in Arizona. To his credit he's one of the most successful rap artist who's sold over 28 million records. His message in song has been as he said in his interview, its for the fallen (straight) brother. On every CD he ends it with a message about God and a prayer.
| But what DMX found most disrespectful is the fact that he and the other inmates, are forced to wear the color pink. The reason being is that when the inmates were allowed to wear the white outfit, inmates stole them. Now since the uniforms are the color pink, needless to say, no more were stolen. | ![]() |
| When DXM first arrived in Arizona, he loved it. He mentioned that he loved the sunset and decided to buy a house. What's interesting is that during the interview he did not say why he was arrested and would not answer the question when asked. The time to be served is 90 days. Court records show that he entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of "cruelty to animals and drugs". Michael Vick and now DMX, what's up with the straight brothers and infliction of pain to animals (dogs)? | |
| Once he's released he states that he's leaving Arizona to never return. Not even for a concert. He blames the "devil" for this arrestment and believes that he's suppose to experience this episode in his life. But he's moving full speed ahead, as he's going to answer his true calling in life and become a minister. At present, he's going to re-start a television (reality) show while he's in jail. He has also completed a gospel CD, that he's enthusiastic about and can't wait to release, "The Gospel According to X". | |

When John Hooks asked about the number of children he has, the answer is eight. But the interviewer didn't ask and DMX didn't say, how many baby-mama's are out there. The most important message that the rapper wants his fans to know is that, "Jesus loves you". The hard edge, when he speaks, is a little bit gentler, but during parts of this interview, he still has that powerful roar of a proud, strong black man. "Don't judge me or have an assumption until you know me", is what he would like to tell the white people and to others who don't know him. He is more than the message in his music. However his music has preached hatred towards others who are different than he is, and this has been towards and about white people, the system and gay people. Perhaps as he's grown older, his point of view has changed, but I have a feeling it hasn't.

| His concerns in the interview have become a reality as his beautiful home is up for sale. This 4 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms can be yours, if the price is right. The loss of this property is due to financial and legal troubles. The rapper indicated in the interview that millions were stolen from him (by former accountants, managers, lawyers).
With a television reality show and a gospel CD coming out, and probably a book deal, I'm sure he will be back on top. Hopefully he has learned to love unconditionally in the way that his hardcore fans still love him. You read it here at GBMNews.com
