Since his first encounter with the celebrated poet Gwendolyn Brooks, this award-winning journalist says he always knew he wanted to be a writer. With recognition for his feature articles and persistence as an educational beat reporter, Kevin has garnered awards from the Illinois Press Association, the Chicago Association of Black Journalists, Afrique Magazine and the Greater Chicago Committee for his inspiring news pieces on the impact of HIV/AIDS on the Black community.


 

 

 

 

 

 




 

The native Detroiter has worked for urban and suburban weeklies in Detroit, Grand Rapids, New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Chicago.
He now resides in Atlanta where he continues to share his passion for writing both as a writer and a an instructor of English composition and grammar.
Kevin's extensive portfolio includes works published in the following: Arise, CLIK Magazine, Windy City Times, the Atlanta Voice, N'DIGO, the Michigan Chronicle, Black MBA Magazine, Southern Voice, Between the Lines, Identity (Black Lines), Mix Magazine, Grand Rapid Times, J'Adore Magazine, The Wednesday Journal and the Austin Weekly News.
