I would like to believe that I'm a student & teacher of life. At the beginning of 2007, I relocated from NYC to Charlotte, NC. I've written 4 books of poetry and have just completed my 1st novel. I would like to believe that my life experience may be able to educate others by seeing the world thru my eyes. There's always a point of view, & I'd like to add my flavor. I'm an extremely private person, however, I believe that I can speak for the voices that need to be heard. I should have written this article month's ago, after he appeared on "the View". On "the View" Jamie Foxx expressed how it loved recording his current CD, and he threw in a quick note, he said, "And I have something on my CD for the children." Well you could have knocked me over with a feather, the way he said it, I knew it was for the gay community and our love to party, dance and work it out on the dance floor.

Let's back track, the first time most of us saw Jamie was on "Living Color". When he did "Wanda the Ugly Woman", which was in drag. The gay community embraced this character which was done respectfully and yet done for laughs. We didn't know that Mr. Foxx had more to offer. We didn't see this side of him, till he had his own series, "The Jamie Foxx Show". On the "Jamie Foxx Show" showed the world that he could sing, dance and act. Then he did the Ray Charles story on film, this performance moved him into superstar, triple threat status. Yet there's something humble and sincere about the man originally named, Eric Morton Bishop Jr., born in Terrell, Texas. His beginnings wasn't sweet, but he's grateful for the loving care that his grandmother give him. On the "Unpredictable" CD he dedicated a song to his late grandmother, thanking her for her love and care for him. | |
| The "Unpredictable" CD proved that he is more than a comic or actor with a wish to sing. The brother can sing! On the "Unpredictable" Due to his talent, he's sang with legend Ms. Gladys Knight, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Beyonce. Jamie is a live let live personality and its refreshing, especially in the world of Hip Hop. Jamie dares to be different and unique. Jamie's doing it all, singing, acting in movies and doing anything he damn well pleases to do. This brother has arrived, he's a star. Now he's an actor, producer, writer and director. His body of work is amazing and through it all Jamie has always been Jamie.
