I just happen to be in my brother-in-law's, Shawn's red truck listening to the radio, waiting as he ran into one of the department stores to make a purchase. As I continued to listen to the radio, Faheem Rasheed Najm, better known as T-Pain's music was played. Now before his fans attack me, I'm aware of his music and I know that he's a successful rapper, songwriter, producer and extremely respected in the music industry. But can he really sings?

Later that evening, on MTV-2. The "Storyteller Series", focused the show on Kanye West. Again this brother is well respected and has shown another side to Hip Hop and Rap music. He has shown the world that "hip-hop" is more than gangsters, thugs, cursing, bitches and whores. As I sat, listened and watched, it just confirmed what I thought all along, that with good business sense, some talent, a look, the public can be sold anything, we are purchasing music with lyrics, great music beats, rapping and pretend singers.

Mr. West as well as Mr. Pain are partners with the "Auto-Tune". Case and point, when Kanye performed on "Saturday Night" live, there was something wrong with his "Auto Tune" and the brother had to sing. It wasn't a very nice sound. Without the Auto-Tune" you discovered the true voice. Simon on "American Idol" would claim that it's the worse sound he has every heard.

Yeah, I know they both have won "Grammy's" for "Good Life", however, sound and appreciation to and what's considered music has changed. Yet, without the "Auto-Tune", Mr. Pain would cause pain vocally and Kanye West has already proven that he can rap but as a singer, nah, I think so. And no, I haven't forgotten Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr, who topped Billboard and broke all kind of records, but is it talent, timing, promotion or the "Auto-Tune?" A lot of performers are using this equipment, which guarantees an almost perfect pitch performance. Cher used this equipment on the "Believe" recording.

I think that the "Auto-Tune" inventor should win a few Grammys too.

Are you feeling me? Do you disagree? Express yourself, let your voice be heard, let me know.
