Two Ridiculously Homophobic Preachers set to invade Chicago
Uplift Chicago, the new “Expo for Today’s Black Woman”, is set to showcase two ridiculously homophobic preachers, Bishop Eddie Long and Bishop Noel Jones. For 13 years, this event was simply "The Expo For Today's Black Woman", where vendors would knock over each other in order to serve Black women. Major corporations, Black businesses, community groups, community education, and service organizations fill the convention center. But this year, it has spontaneously turned itself into "Uplift Chicago", starring two lowdown, sellout, hateful, exploitative, pimping preachers.

In 2004, Bishop Eddie Long led a march of thousands in which he insisted the #1 problem in Black America is gay marriage. NAACP chairman, Julian Bond, boycotted Coretta Scott King's funeral because it was hosted at Bishop Eddie Long's megachurch. Julian Bond felt that Dr. Martin Luther King's message and Coretta Scott King's message of civil rights were contradictory with the anti-gay message of Bishop Eddie Long.

Bishop Noel Jones is guilty of traveling to Jamaica to urge people to resist pressure from gay activists to change their anti-gay laws. This is a country where violent and deadly hate crimes are common against gay people. Transgender attendees of a funeral were attacked recently. Several gay activists have also been murdered and beaten on the island.
