A Bournemouth football team has won the first gay football cup final to be held in England.
Birmingham Blaze recently joined the Gay Football Supporters Network (GFSN) National League and hosted the tournament in Sutton Coldfield.
GFC Bournemouth were crowned champions after beating Yorkshire Terriers 2-0 in the final.
Michael Collins, from the International Gay and Lesbian FA, said the teams are making a statement.
"Gay people like football, they like playing it and it's great for the West Midlands' gay community," he said.
Birmingham are currently bottom of the amateur league.
Club secretary Joe Green, who dressed up as Vicky Pollard from the BBC's Little Britain comedy show, said there were teams from London, Bournemouth, Yorkshire and Nottingham.
John Boyd, chairman of the Birmingham team, said he felt the FA and some Premiership teams were focusing on diversity.
The GFSN kicked off in 1989 and later this year some members of Birmingham Blaze will join other teams at the World Gay Games in Buenos Aires.
The GFSN National League was formed in 2002 with four competitive teams which has now increased to eight.
