New Life Outreach Ministries Inc. received zoning approval Tuesday night for its transitional housing for men affected by HIV/AIDS.
The ranch-style home at 4322 West U.S. 20 in Springfield Township will be called New Life House and will provide a home for six to 10 men once it is converted.
By a 3-1 vote, the La Porte County Board of Zoning Appeals approved the group’s petition for a variance.
Member Ed Kogut voted against the petition. Members Dwayne Hogan, Paul Zona and Melissa Mullins Mischke voted for the special exception.
