Way back in the nineties Chris DeCarlo jumped head-first into the Internet as a designer and illustrator. The web wave propelled him all the way to New York City where it still keeps him afloat to this day. His diverse client list includes Chase Bank, The US Senate, GE, Renault, Garfield, AOL, HBO, and Sanofi-Aventis.

Eventually Chris found time between web sites to venture out to Fire Island where he snagged a boyfriend - another Chris - his first time out. Never one to quit when he was ahead, Chris has continued to spend every summer since then sharing houses at Fire Island with his boyfriend, a couple other Chrises, some Davids, and a few Michaels. This lack of imaginative naming eventually found its way into cartoon form through It’s the Michaels, an illustrated tribute to his weekend getaway.

It's the Michaels chronicles the lives of a group of like-named gay men who share a house in the Pines at Fire Island.
