This is about how the marketers and advertisers of thi movie sought to market this movie toward the Black GLBT community by suggesting that there might be gay undertones in the movie and the fact that we would be so gullible to go see a movie based on a title like "pride". Seriously seeing the movie was advertised on channels like "Logo" and even advertised in magazines like "Clik" magazine.
It's about how the news media goes rushing around to interview victims or families of victims after great tragedies like "Columbine" or "Virginia Tech" without giving people a chance to grieve or mourn just for the sake of ratings and beating their competition.

Growing up gay in da "thugs'" hood

A brief general look into my life growing up in the hood.

Growing up gay in the thugs’ neighborhood meant that one always had to endure being isolated. True, I know from experience not only being called the six letter “f” word but also being spit on having rocks and glass bottles thrown at you to say the least. As always people assumed those things happened to me because I was effeminate or I had been sexually aggressive towards one of the guys.
