What is GBMNews?

GBMNews (Gay Black Male News) is a site for News, Commentary, Reviews of interest to Gay people of color.

How do I become a Jornalist?

Click on the 'Become a Journalist' Link on the right side 'Site Menu'

Simply fill out the form and you are on your way! Please note that your photo and biography will be approved by administrator (no inappropriate language or images).

How do I submit Stories?

Click on the 'Submit Article' Link on the right side 'Site Menu'

This selection will present you with the ArticleLive Control Panel at the “Create Article” page. Here is where you post your articles for submission. Be sure to fill out all fields. You can add images or media files along with your articles. You also have the option to edit the HTML of your article by clicking the 'Source' tab at the bottom of the editor. Once you hit 'submit' your article will be sent for review and be 'approved' or 'disapproved' by the administrator. For more detailed instructions, click on the following link: User Guide

Is GBMNews for Gay Black Males Only?

GBMNews's main focus is Gay Black Males, but we welcome people from all walks of life. We are looking for contributors, writers, artists and volunteers of any race, creed, color, religion, sexual orientation, and so on.

How do I submit Press Releases & Event Announcements?

Please submit Press Releases and Event Announcements to pressrelease@gbmnews.com

Your press release or event announcement can be written in article form however at minimum please provide the following:

Who – are the primary people involved or target group. Background information about the principals is very much appreciated. As well as contact information for follow-up by our reporters.

What – the name of the event or activity. Please be as descriptive as possible. State the goals and objectives of the event or activity. Please, please, please, provide background information.

When – Date, Time(s)

Where - Location, Directions, Contact information, Web site, Telephone numbers, etc.

Photographs – Of individuals, venue, or activity. Our most read articles contain pictures.

Graphics – Sponsor or Organization logos

Typical Press Release – Copy (100-200 words) Pictures (2-3) Contact Info (website, email address, phone number for our internal use)
